“My sister and I spent 5 days at the Clarion inn In College Park, MD. We were visiting family in DC and were reluctant to pay the high rates of hotels in the city. With Clarion, we found a treasure. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful. Rooms were immaculate, services great and it was easy to get the Metro into DC. The hotel has a shuttle to the Metro station! College Park is a terrific town and the hotel staff is well versed on things to do and great places to eat.

“It was clean and bright, and an outstanding value. Not the Ritz Carlton, but it does not pretend to be. Nice staff, plenty of clean towels and hot water, no bugs, recently renovated. OK, the building IS 50 years old, so the bathroom was a little tight, but I would not hesitate to stay there any time while in DC”

“We stayed at this hotel over Christmas vacation 2005. We had two adjoining rooms one for myself and my wife and our children in the other. The kids had fun in the Fundome and the pool. The pool was warm and clean with plenty of towels. The front desk was very helpful with everything we asked. The rooms were clean and warm. The free shuttle bus that took to the subway station was excellent. We never waited more than ten minutes and the driver was very friendly and knowledgeable. The internet service worked great for four out of five nights. On New Years Eve the place got a little noisy but they had a security guard and we never felt threatened. The inside rooms on the first floor are the best. The free breakfast was fine. This is a great place to stay when visiting D.C. We rode the subway into the city every morning and back each evening the commute takes about 50 minutes from the hotel front door to the National Mall. The hotel restaurant was pretty good. They specialize in seafood which is not my personal favorite. There is a great Chinese food restaurant two doors down the road and a Burger King, Taco Bell, and a 7-11 right across the street. We had a great vacation and at very reasonable price.”
